The registration for not-right.com will expire in June. I'm choosing not to renew the domain name. It was fun having it in the last two years. I met a lot of great people and appreciate the continuing support. Thanks so much.

I've never really gone on a 'hiatus' like most other people with personal websites & blogs have. I never felt the need to. If I didn't want to post an entry for a week, I didn't. You know I'vey admitted that I've got a very un-eventful and mostly uninteresting life (in which you'd be interested to know about is beyond me). But I think it's time I step back and think about things.

I've been thinking about what direction I want to go since I've done and carved out a little piece of the web and called it my own. I can't leave you guys, I love you too much. All I know is that it's time for a change.

Someone logged onto the internet to search for pictures of black people. Why?! Do you live under a rock? Were you looking to obtain pictures to use in an offending way? Weird. My response to this is, whatever your intentions were, make friends with black people if you haven't already. Make friends with people of all races because we're all people and having a variety of people in your life makes it richer and more wonderful.

Wow, it's so surprising to know that people you knew in high school have been shipped to Iraq for the war. I caught myself reading articles online in the local newspaper referencing to my alma mater, Fitch High School. I just read an article about Josh Bergeson's mom putting yellow ribbons in her front yard after he was shipped out the 10th. The kid graduated a year after me and we both got our driver's licenses printed out the same day. He's a really cool guy and I hope after the last couple weeks he's still ok. It's weird how I haven't really felt this war hit close to home yet since I live in a military town, you can't be a resident here and not be affiliated with someone in the military. It's also interesting how your views and feelings regarding topics like this can become stronger or not after you know you've absolutely got a connection to it, how you know you're going to be affected by it somehow.

That's all I'm gonna say.

I hope everyone had a good Easter.

I got an email update from a website I visited a year ago, Rate My Professors, it might be a fun & interesting website to surf through. You can rate your professors according to easiness of the course, helpfulness, and clarity. Comments can also be added. It's all in good fun. The rating surveys that faculty give us at the end of every semester in every class helps the faculty themselves but a website like this helps other students. I read an article about this website and other professor rating websites and it's funny to find out that some teachers may get uncomfortable knowing something like this exists. Even before these websites were created, students were critiquing and discussing their teachers with each other anyways. It's just the internet embodiment of it. Before registering my classes each semester I ask my friends what courses they've taken and how their professors were like, leaving me the opportunity to take a class with said professor or choose someone else. I like to surf through the ratings for my school. Mostly positive comments too, that's a good sign that there are good profs here.

Good news! My 3 friends and I were able to get an apartment in Schwartz Hall. Finally! My friends, patience and good citizenship brings you joy. Today has been the best day ever in a while. To add onto the great exam and essay grades I've been getting, here we are with a place to live next semester. No more living with the, this is a strong word but, idiots I've been forced to live with for the last year and I'm movin' on up to the east side. I'm a sophomore living in a freshman straightline dorm, that is not right. No more paying thousands for nasty dining hall food, I will cook dinner for my roommates every day because my food is better than that crap. After our long meeting with the housing director this afternoon I had to scream "WOO HOO!" and do a victory dance in front of 3-way traffic.

Also, the weather this week is just beautiful. With warm weather people go crazy. Hey kids, we also have all summer to enjoy it, it's only April. Girls on campus are already struttin' the spaghetti strap tanks, short skirts, and butt shorts. (I also saw a couple girls sporting the Manolo Blahnik Timberland stiletto heals, sorry, but those are not attractive.) You're going to class, not the beach. Nobody ever walks around their house wearing these things, the extra skin you show at school doesn't give you extra points on the next exam. When I see the temperature hit 90, then you'll see me wearing shorts and a tank. The people at this school are plain funny.

Somebody found my website while searching for 'i have trouble with my big breast' Just the one dear?

"Do you ever see websites that are designed so ugly, the ones with all the blinking graphics? Hello! 1993 called, they want their websites back!"

My roommate's pastor came to speak at tonight's session of Campus Crusade for Christ. He was excellent and made great points on the topic of success with some bits of humor added in. I thought some computer dorks and webmasters who read this will find the same joke as funny as I did. You know you're too computer/internet savvy when you're the only person in the room rolling on the floor laughing after hearing that joke.

Also I read an article in the New Haven Register all about blogs and the writer interviewd some blogs run by people living in this city! New Haven! These are my neighbors! It's really neat that the media is recognizing an internet phenomenon and the people behind it, especially those who are local to me. It was a coincidence because I found Adam by clicking on my BlogSnob link on the sidebar and he led me to the article and the article led me to New Haven residents Rob and Dana as well as the Szylagyis, Stephen, and Jim.

Apparently my mom thinks I spend too much time working on my crafts, my beloved crafts that make me happy in life. She lectured me about the importance of my schoolwork and that everything else in life right now should be second rate. She wasn't that precise with her choice of wording but that's the message I understand she was trying to convey.

When I go home for a weekend my parents see that I study, maybe hang out with a friend, and work on a craft or two because I have the free time outside of school-related things. I'm not doing drugs! I've organized my time well regarding studies and whatnot so it's not an option to worry about it. Actually I have no life other than school so she really shouldn't worry... but I digress.

I think she's doing this now because of my lack of deviance while in high school. As a result, life has become too easy for my parents and they're now trying to find reasons to scold me, to feel like they've done their job as parents to raise a well-rounded adult with some sense and intelligence. It's funny really. God bless my parents, bless their little hearts for being so wonderful.

Speaking of crafts, I added a couple new bags into the shop the other day.

I know some people like to personally attack other people on the internet for faking someone's funk, well here's a new mission! Microsoft "borrowed" the Helvetica font and lightly altered it to make their own Arial font. If you're like me and don't think it's worth the time and energy trying to go ruin someone's reputation over a silly little thing, just play the Arial or Helvetica? game, then read How to spot Arial when compared to Helvetica and Grotesque. Personally I like Helvetica, with it's rounded tails and crop-top lowercase t's.

Relationships: dating sites and servises for singles

Online Personals

or personal profiles are a great way to attract new and interesting people. It is very much like an advertisement in which you are the product. The way you write your Online Personals will make a huge difference in the number and quality of responses. If you want to attract the most suitable singles, you have to plan very carefully what you are saying in your Online Personals. Most of the dating sites also give you an opportunity of describing yourself in your own words. Here is your chance to reveal your personality and sell your best traits. Provide as much information about yourself as possible, as long as it's relevant, without revealing details that are too personal. You can talk about your career, but not the employer's name. Make sure you include unique traits of your personality, something that makes you stand out from the crowd. In case you are not sure of yourself and are ready to invest in your matchmaking, you might also ask for professional assistance. You can contact an agency that specializes in creating professional dating portfolios. A trained dating profile helper will be able to assist you in finding any weak spots in your ad, before you take your profile live.

It's amazing how many people are out there looking for someone special online. It used to be that when you were looking for someone to date you would have to hit the local area hot spots to see if there was someone interesting enough to catch your eye. Even then, if you did see someone that you thought would be nice to get to know you really didn't know a thing about them before you first said hi. Fast forward into this century and you find that you have, at your fingertips, the greatest dating machine that the world has ever known. By just plugging a few things into a computer they can show you people in your area, or across the nation that have the same likes and dislikes as you and that even fit the description of what you would find attractive. This seems great on the outside, but do singles Online Personals really work as well as what they appear that they should work?

There are some things that many people should be aware of before they dive into the online dating and Online Personals websites for singles. These things could save them from making mistakes that could cause them to become interested in Mr. Right or Mrs. Perfect and have them end up being the absolute wrong person to be interested in. And on the other hand if you go outside the boundaries of the online dating etiquette you could actually be putting yourself in danger. So make sure that you know the playing field before you join in on the big game and you will come out a winner. Start Your Online Dating Experience Today. Thousands of Pictures to Browse.
