09/30/2002 Entry: "i love autumn and chicken."

Ana and I now have two computers in our room, both hooked up to an ethernet hub so each of us can be logged onto the internet at the same time. Now we're on AIM messaging each other. How dorky is that, that we don't bother to just shift in our seats and talk to each other? haha.

Whoever has asked me what my favorite season of the year was, let me change my answer. I thought I liked summer, but I love autumn more. I would have said spring but I get crazy allergies then. Why autumn? The weather is perfect. It's not too hot, it's not too cold. In nature the color of leaves on trees change to a lovely mix of red, orange, and browns. An occasional breeze of wind flows through my hair. I get to wear my turtleneck sweaters. Who's got the biggest collection of turtleneck sweaters? Me, of course. Every color, every sweater always making sure I stay warm. (Not to mention they always look great with every pair of jeans I have.) Then comes the accesories: scarves, hats, gloves, and a peacoat just in time for winter. Hey, I may even learn how to knit myself a neat scarf.

Onto a completely different topic. I also love Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits. For the first time in my life I tasted their chicken strips, french fries, and biscuits last night. I feel bad that my hometown, though it may seem every kind of fastfood or conventional restaurant exists, doesn't have a Popeyes. Here in New Haven it's abundant. Everyone loves it. And so do I. (Pass the hot sauce.)

We're the same - I think turtlenecks look good with any pair of jeans. And Autumn is the best season, because like you said, it's pretty, not hot, and not cold. I just got a nice scarf from club monaco. I love it when expensive stores go out of business.

At my house there is a hub which connects three computers to the internet at once, and my whole family IMs each other without bothering toour mouths to say hello. Sad, isn't it? Heh :) My roomie and I did the same thing the other day.

I did the same thing with AIM and my roommates in our apartment. God forbid we actually interact occasionally...

Popeyes and Church's chicken are huge in Georgia. Random fact.
