Mobile Phones Cause Human Cell Changes: Study This is a bit scary to read about since I own a cell phone myself. I try not to use mine often (as if I really have calls to make) anyways, even though studies have only shown that some of the phone radiation can cause 'increased protein activity' in the brain. But one of the scientists said that even if these studies prove to be true, they're "not life-threatening problems but can cause a lot of discomfort," and his study doesn't suggest a need for new restrictions on mobile phone use. At least it hasn't been discovered that cell phones to the brain aren't like magnets to a harddrive. ...should we worry? Take some precautions and not use our cellphones too long each use, maybe, but throwing them away and cancelling our service would be an overreaction to the issue.
Replies: 4 comments omg! the second before my cell rings, my screen goes nuts. plus if my speakers are on, or if any speakers are on they get feedback too. crazy. Posted by Erma @ 06/24/2002 01:08 AM EST try putting your cell phone by your monitor when your connecting to a call. the screen goes nuts. Posted by cydele @ 06/23/2002 05:10 PM EST ohh that's right. i was wondering where the radiation would come from. Posted by Erma @ 06/22/2002 07:33 PM EST my dad once said that its the radiation from the cellphone right after you dial the number when the phone is trying to connect to where you're calling - thats when a big burst of radiation emits and that is bad. so he dials the number, holds the phone away from his face and then comes back to it when the other end picks up. i dont know though. im just glad my parents wont have a cell phone. when i get one for college, then ill remember the thing about the radiation Posted by Julia @ 06/21/2002 08:51 PM EST
